We had a GLOWing time!

"I feel very happy to have the opportunity again to participate in the GLOW05 because it really was such a rich experience (in 1999) to learn from other colleagues to see that we do similar things, that we face similar problems and that together we can also find commo solutions to improve our Programme," writes Claudia Garcia de San Roman.

Sonia (Josserand-Mercier) has shared with us some of her "great memories" of GLOW 99: "We were working lying on our stomach in the ducks room with an unfinished glass of Caipirhina brought straight from the disco-bar! Yeah, I remember the great parties we had every nite, drinking, laughing, talking, dancing... sleeping was not a priority!... well there was no time for it!"   more »

We found on the website of the UNV in Gambia a report on the Global Workshop of 1999. For those of us who were not part of the GLOW 99, it gives a brief but very good overview of what happened there. For the veterans, it can be a nostalgic moment, as they will recognize many a face in the photo therein. Have a look here.
