This picture really brings me such good memories from the GLOW99. Thank you for the "beauties" we really enjoyed wearing our beautiful national dress from Guatemala!!!!

In the picture there is my dear friend Claudia Pivaral who worked in Guatemala and now is working in HQ, our former UNV PO Susana Carrillo and myself UNV COA in Guatemala during the GLOW99!!! It was so great to know our colleagues from many other parts of the world showing such a great cultural diversity among us!!! We learned a lot from each other!!!

I feel very happy to have the opportunity again to participate in
the GLOW05 because it really was such a rich experience to learn from other colleagues to see that we do similar things, that we face similar problems and that together we can also find commo solutions to improve our Programme.

As in 1999, I will also have the opportunity to participate as one of the facilitators of the GLOW 05. Participating as facilitator is a challenging experience becuse you really have to prepare yourself to be a good "facilitator" but during the training that we received we really learned a lot of "tips" that really helped us for our tasks! The first session that I had to facilitate, I confess I was nervous, but with the dinamic of the group and the preparation that we received and most of all the support of all the group of facilitators during our meetings, then I felt really confident of doing my task and I also enjoyed it! Also the "team spirit" that was created among all the facilitators' team was really great and supportive!!!!

I consider that after that experience I felt more confident of myself to facilitate other events even when I came back to my office during events with volunteers or counterparts. I think it was really worthwhile and I appreciate the colleagues in HQ to give me this opportunity again!

See you soon! Claudia.

I would like to share that participate as facilitator implied a lot of "extra work

Claudia

Thanks for recalling those nice memories! Your words brought back nice memories, as we were trained and co-facilitate some of the sessions together! I remember you did an excellent job. One of the "ducks" in that very busy days. But whatever I learned there I could apply back to my routine work. In addition, it enhanced my awareness about group dynamics!

Looking forward to seeing you around...with the rest of the Team!
